About SSC CGL Recruitment 2016 of Various Popular Posts in Central Government Departments Across India :
This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
Staff Selection Commission has notified the Combined Graduate Level 2016 Examination notification which includes various popular non gazetted posts and one gazetted post. CGL is one of the most famous central government examination conducted by SSC every year. The online application will be starting very soon ( 13 Feb 2016 ). The tentative date for Tier – 1 Examination is 21st and 28th August 2016. The probable dates for Tier – II examination are in month of November.

Educational Qualification ( as on 1 Aug 2016 ) :
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University

Selection Process :
The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below :
- Tier -I — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier -II — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier -III — Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document Verification
Merit List will be considered with total marks obtained in all the tiers (tier – 1 + tier – 2 + tier – 3).
Note : There will be no interview. SSC may conduct Tier – 1 and Tier – 2 exam in computer based mode or may be Tier -1 will be qualifying in nature.
Updated Information:
- SSC CGLE 2016 tier 1 exam is postponed to August 2016. Expected date is 21 & 28 Aug 2016. Paper pattern may change.
- Tier 1 may be only qualifying in nature and Tier 2 exam will be conducted online
